A brand search reputation report example

A fictional example covering search samples, material assessment, actions and limits.

No client data

The company and situations below are fictional. This demonstrates a method, not facts about a real brand. A real working report includes only the personal information and quotations necessary for the task.

1. Fix the sample

Agree brand variations, review queries, region, language, device, search engine, depth and inspection date. Compare like-for-like conditions. A single search result does not describe reputation in every country.

2. Assess each result

Example A: the official website lists outdated contacts. Action: verify and update. Example B: a review reports a delayed order. This is a customer experience requiring investigation, not automatic removal.

Record the URL, date, topic, classification rationale and proposed action. A mixed article should not become “negative” because of one word. Flag unverified claims separately.

3. Agree a response

Example: “Thank you for reporting the delay. Please send the enquiry number through our private support channel so we can check the status and suggest a next step.” Adapt this template to verified facts; do not request personal data publicly.

An accountable person checks facts and approves the response. Fake reviews and guaranteed removal are not part of the service. The platform decides whether a supported complaint warrants removal.

4. Compare the next snapshot

Track classification within the same sample, response time and resolved enquiries. Record actions and changes to owned pages. A result disappearing from search does not prove that our work caused it.

A one-off audit ends with a situation map and action plan. Monitoring frequency, response hours and ongoing support require a separate scope.
